- Aaron passed his AT-SAT (the air traffic control aptitude test) last spring!
- Aaron graduated Summa Cum Laude from his air traffic control school (yay Aaron!).
- Aaron got an internship with the FAA at KROA tower in Roanoke, VA.
- My job at La-Z-Boy was awful, so I quit.
- We moved back to Lynchburg.
- I started working at my alma mater, Liberty University, and was completely grateful to be "home."
- Aaron couldn't find a job down there, so we decided to move back to Maryland. Yes, I know, flip-flop, flip-flop. What can I say? There are more job opportunities up here. It won't be forever.
- Aaron's boss gave him his job back at the computer store where he worked last year while in ATC school, with a raise.
- Aaron has been talking to an Air National Guard recruiter. He has to figure some things out.
- We lived apart for about 10 weeks between his internship in July and my new job in October. I drove up every few weekends. It absolutely sucked. I drove up for a few different weekends and visited.
- I got a new job as an interior designer at Ethan Allen Interiors. It's still retail, but I am working there so that I can build up my portfolio while waiting to be elligible for the CQRID or NCIDQ exams (licensing) so I can go on to work at a real design firm. It will take a couple of years. My hours are a lot better than LZB though. Five days a week. 9:30- 6:00, except Sundays, when I work 11:30- 5:00. I have to work weekends, but honestly, it's nice having off through the week because I can do things I couldn't do on weekends.
- We found a nice little apartment close to where my parents live. Our house in Lynchburg is still on the market.
Well, that's most of what has happened. Thanks for reading!
